**North Lake Tahoe Highway 28 Road Construction**
May 2 thru July 2, 2009

State Route 28 will be closing down to traffic for 3 weeks starting Sunday, May 2, 2009 at 7pm from Sand Harbor to Hwy 50.  Closures will occur each week from Sunday evening at 7pm to Friday morning at 5am.  Friday morning through Sunday evening SR-28 will be open with no delays.  This section of SR-28 will affect drivers in route to or from Carson City or Hwy 50 toward South Lake Tahoe.  This road closure will not affect the drive from Reno on Hwy 431 (Mt Rose Hwy) or I-80.  Following the 3-week road closure, the road will have delayed traffic through July 2, 2009.
